Services Offered:

Free transportation by private automobile to medical services assistance in shopping, banking, etc.

 

Short-term Volunteer Opportunities:

Volunteer drivers and telephone dispatchers are always needed and can be used at any time.  A monthly schedule is published with the names of volunteers who have agreed to serve a six hour shift (6:00 a.m. to noon or noon to 6:00 p.m.) one or more shits a month, but backup volunteers are often needed.

 

Long-term Volunteer Opportunities:

Same as above.

 

Opportunities to Observe at Organization:

FISH has no facility to visit, but interested students could ride along with a driver as clients are transported.

 

Opportunities for On-site Informational Interview:

As cited above, a visit is not possible.  If riding with volunteer driver, and if the client was agreeable, a brief interview could be conducted during the trip.  No access to client's residence is allowed.
