Services Offered:
The mission of CET is based on the philosophy of
self-determination and seeks to promote the human development and education of
low-income people by providing them with marketable skills training and
supportive services that contribute to economic self-sufficiency. The organization provides vocational
training, including programs in Automated Office Skills, Custodial/Building
Maintenance, and Medical Assistance. Also provides Remedial Education, Pre GED/GED Instructions, Human
Development, Job Development/Placement, and other supportive services.
Short-term Volunteer Opportunities:
Need volunteers to assist us perform the following
activities: conduct mock interviews and self-esteem workshops, teach conflict
resolution techniques, and to act as instructional aides.
Long-term Volunteer Opportunities:
Need volunteers to assist us perform the following
activities: help with Pre GED and GED preparation, give basic English and math
instructions and basic computer instructions.
Opportunities to Observe at Organization:
We strongly encourage students to tour and observe our
training facility. Moreover, to
obtain a hands-on experience of our training methodology and the wide array of
services that we employ for the purpose of assuring the success of our
students.
