Services Offered:

CPAF operates a 24-hour hotline and confidential emergency and transitional shelters for women and children who are victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse, targeting the Asian/Pacific Islander communities.

 

Long-term Volunteer Opportunities:

CPAF volunteers are required to make a minimum commitment of six months for the volunteer program; certain volunteer areas require a longer term commitment.  Interested persons should call to inquire. 

 

Class Speakers:

CPAF provides speakers on the topics of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse in the Asian/Pacific Islander communities.  Call to inquire about availability of speakers.  CPAF provides speakers as resources and staffing permits.

Services Offered:

Provide direct and referral assistance to victims of crime throughout Orange County for obtaining psychological, emergency assistance, and support through the criminal justice system.

 

Long-term Volunteer Opportunities:

Because of intensive training a volunteer commitment of six months with a minimum of four hours per week between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. is required.  Student internships are available at Victim/Witness Assistance Program Court Centers, Sexual Assault Victim Services and the Domestic Violence Assistance Program Center.  We prefer a time commitment of 200 hours over one or two semesters.

 

Opportunities to Observe at Organization:

Because of confidentiality requirements, it is not possible to observe agency services.  However, most court proceedings are public and open to all for observation in the courtroom.

 

Opportunities for On-site Informational Interview:

Program Directors and Victim Service Program supervisors are happy to speak with students.  Please call for more information.
